Controversy
Sachin Ahir in 2015 alleged that the government of Maharsahtra under the pretext of ‘ease of business’ had dropped five new licenses which made it easier to open dance bars in the state. Sachin Ahir has stated that dance bars ruin the lives of families especially the youth and that under the previous government they were outlawed.
Sachin Ahir’s foundation the Shree Sankalp Pratishthan has also come under scrutiny. It is alleged that during the preparation of a horse racing event at jambori maidan in worli the foundation transported sand from the coast thus violating Coastal Regulatory Zone (CRZ) rules.
