Ameet Satam raised issues like construction scam in the BMC, climate change, Mumbai tourism, hawkers mafia. Ameet Satam has been recognised as a leader of Asia, Pacific & United States by the East-west centre at Honolulu and also awarded 'Ideal youth MLA' award by MIT school of government, Pune. He is known for a 9 minute documentary that he made on Global Warming called "VASUNDHARA" which features the likes of Ajay Devgn, Sri Sri Ravishankar and Hema Malini.

Controversy
In 2017, a video of Ameet Satam went abusing policemen and assaulting hawkers went viral. When asked about the incident he said that he hadn't committed any crime and was simply reminding the police officers that it was their duty to keep hawkers off the road at this leads to traffic and congestion in the city.
