Nayan Kadam is the son of late businessman Nandkumar Kadam. His brother Rajesh Kadam and cousin Chetan Kadam are both Corporators from the Shiv Sena.

Career

Nayan Kadam owns a shop and is a partner in an idol-making business. Nayan Kadam has served as Vice President of MNS’s Aviation Unit and currently serves as the Vice President of MNS’s North Mumbai Unit. He has organized medical camps and Andheri and has organized an initiative to plant 1000 trees in Borivali.

Controversy

Nayan Kadam has demanded that Reliance Electricity stop printing bills in Marathi and that they print them in English, Hindi and Marathi only. However, the company claims that they are a customer-centric organisation and that the bills have been printed in all those languages and Gujarati and in braille since 2005 to better help the need of their customers.

Nayan Kadam has been accused of leading MNS workers on a rampage to take down English signboards from shops and other establishment in the Charkop area of Mumbai, three MNS workers were arrested in connection with this incident.
