Career
Akhil Chitre is the Vice President of MNS's youth wing, Maharashtra Navnirman Vidyarthi Sena (MNVS). He is also the Bandra East Vibhag Deputy Chairman.
He has moved the Bombay high court against the operators of Mumbai airport and an application opposing the toll fees to use the road opposite to the international airport terminal building. He has also taken up the cause of the environment and illegal hawkers.
Controversy
Akhil Chitre and his goons beat up a taxi driver in Mumbai on video just a day after attacking a hotel owner in the same manner.
A molestation case against MNS leader Akhil Chitre for allegedly misbehaving with a female IIPM management member. The students, who were allegedly employed by the Bandra institute, had a dispute with the management over salary.
Akihil Chitre slammed Amitabh Bachchan for joining the chorus lobbying the construction of metro in Mumbai which would lead to cutting of thousands of trees.
In 2017, he and 6 MNS workers were arrested for beating up hawkers and destroying their goods outside Santacruz station.
