Controversy

In 2016 Manisha Chaudhari was accused of ‘playing with the religious sentiments of people’ after she claimed that Shivaji Maharaj had visited Dahisar and that a famous Gavdevi temple also exists there.

Manisha Chaudhari was allegedly collecting water from all the religious places in Dahisar to present to PM Modi for the Abhishek at the inauguration of the Shivaji Maharaj memorial in the Arabian sea. For this purpose she created a fancy chariot with the faces of PM Narendra Modi, CM Devendra Phadnavis, MP Gopal Shetty and her own which she planned to roll out in the streets of Dahisar.
